I've written about taking Stella and Sophia to galleries, but really the expert in art at the moment is 3-year-old James!
He only goes to day care twice a week, so most of the time he's with me, and more than happy to look at artworks between a visit to a park and a bit of soccer.
Lately he's been to Artsite, Ken Done and Traffic Jam. His favourite piece was Gillie and Marc's red resin dog at Traffic Jam. Great taste!!
Clever James was also highly impressed by Alesandro Ljubicic's show at Michael Reid Gallery. He loved the big flowers, and was happy to know they were painted by Alex, his friend from The Sydney Art Store.
Whenever I visit these places with the kids it amazes me how their little eyes perceive art in such magical way, through their very creative and pure little minds.
As Picasso said: "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up". I'm trying!:)
